Purpose of the Role

This role will support end-to-end plant finance activities for a greenfield manufacturing setup.
It includes:

  • Finance business partnering
  • Operations finance
  • Product costing and cost accounting
  • Systems and process implementation
  • Capex/CWIP trackingProject close-out and reporting
  • Period-end closing, ontrols, and MIS

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Drive plant finance initiatives for cost management and budget control
  • Manage inventory accounting and controls
  • Oversee inbound compliance processes and accounts payable
  • Partner with operations and business teams to support decision-making
  • Enable systems and process readiness with governance frameworks
  • Manage Capex/CWIP accounting, asset capitalization, and project closure
  • Handle period-end close, plant MIS reporting, audits, and controls
  • Monitor plant admin and employee services spend
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Perform product costing and variance analysis
  • Exposure to Profitability Analysis and Material Ledger is desirable

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience in:
    • Cost control
    • Inventory management
    • Accounts payable
    • Vendor governance
    • Asset capitalization
    • Product costing
  • Strong analytical and communication skillsAbility to work with cross-functional stakeholdersExperience in SAP S/4HANA is mandatoryExposure to greenfield or large infrastructure projects preferredBattery industry experience is an added advantage
  • Strong understanding of plant finance activities including:
    • Product costing
    • Payables
    • Inventory
    • MIS reporting
    • Period-end closure
  • Hands-on experience with SAP and Excel (reporting, reconciliation, analysis)Strong attention to detail and documentation disciplineEffective stakeholder and vendor coordination skills

Role-specific Qualifications

  • Engineer + MBA (Finance) / Engineer + CMA (Preferred)
  • OR CMA / CA
