Purpose of the Role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to support and lead the IT and Digital functions by driving strategic financial planning, cost governance, investment decisions, and business value realization.

The role requires a strong commercial mindset with the ability to partner closely with senior technology leadership and influence large-scale transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate should have significant experience partnering with IT functions within Automotive, EV, Manufacturing, or Industrial organizations and possess strong expertise in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and digital transformation investments.

Key Responsibility Areas

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary finance leader and trusted advisor for IT and Digital leadership teams.
  • Drive annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning for enterprise IT functions.
  • Provide strategic financial insights on large-scale technology investments including ERP programs, digital transformation, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud migration, and platform implementations.
  • Own governance and control of IT OPEX and CAPEX spend, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and value delivery.
  • Lead business case development, ROI analysis, cost optimization initiatives, and capital allocation decisions for technology investments.
  • Partner with Procurement and IT teams on vendor strategy, commercial negotiations, software licensing, and contract evaluations.
  • Develop and drive financial models and dashboards to track IT spend, project performance, and value realization.
  • Oversee month-end closing, variance analysis, and management reporting for IT portfolios, with clear insights for leadership decision-making.
  • Ensure financial compliance, governance, and adherence to internal controls and policies across IT spend.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Finance, Procurement, Strategy, Operations, and Technology teams.
  • Drive transformation initiatives focusing on automation, analytics, and digitalization within finance processes.
  • Enable data-driven decision-making through advanced financial analytics and reporting.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Qualified CA / CMA / MBA Finance (Tier 1) or equivalent finance qualification.
  • 8–12 years of progressive finance experience with strong exposure to Finance Business Partnering.
  • Proven experience supporting IT / Technology / Digital functions as a Finance Business Partner.
  • Preferably from Automotive, EV, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of IT financials including software licensing, infrastructure costs, cloud spend, ERP programs, and digital transformation investments.
  • Excellent expertise in budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, cost control, and financial modelling.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with exposure to senior leadership interactions (CIO / CXO level).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SAP/Oracle, and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving business environment.

Role Specific Qualifications/Certifications

  • Experience in large-scale transformation or ERP implementation programs.
  • Exposure to global business environments and matrix organizations.
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen.
  • Professional certifications in Finance, ERP, Analytics, or Digital Transformation will be an added advantage.
