Purpose of the Role
We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner – HR to support and partner with the HR and People Leadership by driving workforce financial planning, people cost governance, investment decisions, and productivity insights.
The role requires a strong commercial mindset with deep understanding of people economics, enabling effective decision‑making around headcount, compensation, benefits, capability investments, and organizational design. The ideal candidate will have significant experience partnering with HR teams in Manufacturing, Automotive, EV, Industrial, or Technology‑led organizations.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Act as the primary finance partner and trusted advisor to HR and People Leadership teams.
- Drive annual workforce budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long‑range people cost planning.
- Own governance and control of employee cost structures including headcount, compensation, benefits, incentives, and variable pay.
- Provide financial insights on organization design, workforce productivity, span & layers, and capability investments.
- Support business cases and ROI analysis for HR initiatives such as:
- Talent acquisition scaling
- Learning & development programs
- Leadership development
- Digital HR / HRIS implementations
- Partner with HR, Business, and Finance teams on manpower planning, hiring prioritization, and cost optimization.
- Develop dashboards and analytics to track HC growth, attrition cost, productivity metrics, and people KPIs.
- Oversee month‑end close, variance analysis, and management reporting for HR cost centers.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and governance related to people costs.
- Support transformation initiatives including automation, analytics, and digitalization within HR finance processes.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders including HR COEs, Operations, Strategy, and Corporate Finance.
Knowledge Generic
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Qualified CA / CMA / MBA Finance (Tier 1) or equivalent.
- 8–12 years of progressive finance experience with strong exposure to Finance Business Partnering.
- Proven experience partnering with HR / People / Workforce functions.
- Strong understanding of:
- Workforce planning & HC economics
- Compensation & benefits cost structures
- Incentive and variable pay models
- Productivity and efficiency metrics
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, EV, industrial, or technology environments preferred.
- Excellent expertise in budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and financial modelling.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with exposure to CHRO / CXO‑level interactions.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SAP/Oracle, HR cost analytics.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving capabilities.
Role‑Specific Qualifications / Added Advantage
- Experience supporting large‑scale workforce transformation or scale‑up environments.
- Exposure to HRIS implementations (Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, etc.).
- Experience working in matrix or global organizations.
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to balance cost discipline and talent investment.
- Exposure to unionized or shop‑floor workforce cost models (for manufacturing context).
