Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a professional with 6–8 years of experience in Customs, Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), Trade Compliance, Policy, and Advocacy to support the organization's import-export operations and represent business interests on regulatory and policy matters. The role will work closely with internal stakeholders, industry associations, and government authorities to drive compliance, policy alignment, and trade facilitation initiatives.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Ensure compliance with Customs regulations, Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), and other applicable trade laws and regulations.
- Manage import/export operations, customs clearance processes, classification, valuation, duty optimization, and trade compliance requirements.
- Handle FTP-related schemes such as EPCG, Advance Authorization, RoDTEP, and other export promotion initiatives.
- Track, analyze, and interpret changes in trade, customs, taxation, and industrial policies impacting manufacturing operations.
- Engage with government departments, regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and chambers of commerce to support advocacy initiatives.
- Prepare policy briefs, position papers, representations, and consultation responses on regulatory and trade-related matters.

- Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, finance, legal, and business teams to ensure effective implementation of policy and compliance requirements.
- Support internal and external audits, investigations, and compliance reviews.
Knowledge Generic
Required Qualifications
6–8 years of relevant experience in Customs, FTP, Trade Compliance, Policy Analysis, and Advocacy, preferably within a manufacturing organization and knowledge of industrial, manufacturing, logistics, and trade-related regulatory frameworks is preferred.
