Purpose of the Role
The Mixing Engineer is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining mixing equipment used for electrode slurry preparation. Dry room operation experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibility Areas
Machine Operation
- Operate planetary, double planetary, high-shear, and vacuum mixers as per SOPs.
- Set machine parameters (speed, time, temperature, vacuum).
- Accurately load powders, binders, and solvents.
- Monitor machine performance and alarms.
Batch Preparation
- Prepare batches as per recipes.
- Conduct visual uniformity checks.
- Transfer slurry safely to coating.
Equipment Cleaning & Upkeep
- Clean vessels, blades, lids after each batch.
- Perform pre-start checks.
- Report issues immediately.
