Purpose of the Role
The Systems Requirements Engineer plays an important role within the Agratas Pack Team, supporting the definition, analysis, and management of system requirements for high-voltage battery pack systems.
This role requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills to ensure that system-level requirements are clearly defined, traceable, and aligned with product and customer expectations. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to support the development of safe, reliable, and high-performance battery systems.
The Systems Requirements Engineer will contribute to requirements engineering activities across the product development lifecycle, ensuring that system requirements are effectively captured, managed, and validated.
Key Responsibility Areas
-
Support systems engineering activities in the design and development of high-voltage battery packs for applications including passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and energy storage systems (ESS).
-
Requirements Elicitation: Collaborate with stakeholders including product managers, engineers, and customers to gather and understand system-level requirements for battery pack systems.
-
Requirements Documentation: Document and maintain clear, complete, and traceable system requirements using appropriate tools and methodologies, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
-
Requirements Analysis: Analyse system requirements to identify dependencies, potential conflicts, and ambiguities, supporting effective requirement refinement and prioritisation.
-
Requirements Validation: Assist in defining validation strategies and test plans to ensure system requirements are verified and validated against acceptance criteria.
-
Change Management: Support the management of changes to system requirements throughout the product development lifecycle while maintaining traceability and configuration control.
-
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, testing, and quality teams to ensure system requirements are integrated effectively into the overall product development process.
-
Risk Identification: Identify potential risks associated with system requirements and support mitigation planning.
-
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation related to system requirements including requirement specifications, traceability matrices, change logs, and technical reports.
-
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to improving requirements engineering processes, tools, and methodologies across the organisation.
