Purpose of the Role
Partner with business functions, to ensure effective articulation, identification, use of technology in a specified function to meet business objectives with a digital first mindset. The role will collaborate with global functional teams and other Digital/IT verticals to strategize, plan and deploy IT/digital initiatives in the function.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Develop physics-based models to understand fluid and particle dynamics in electrode fabrication processes (electrode drying and electrolyte filling)
- Develop models that can help in optimising process parameters (eg. Drying temp), troubleshooting non-uniformity during process steps
- Demonstrate expertise in multiphase/multicomponent modeling
- Good understanding of battery electrode development processes
Knowledge Generic
Essential
- At least 3+ years of industrial experience in battery modelling
- Experience in process modeling using numerical/mechanical methods
- Expert in tools such as StarCCM and/or Fluent and DEM based tools
- Passionate about problem solving and innovation. Strong communication skills
Desired
- Good understanding of process scale-up in battery manufacturing
