What you'll do…
As a Quality Engineer, Customer Quality, you will play a key role in managing customer quality concerns, leading structured problem-solving activities, and ensuring that customer feedback is translated into effective corrective and preventive actions.
Acting as the interface between customers and internal teams, you will drive investigations, support root cause identification and ensure customer issues are resolved quickly and effectively. Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Failure Analysis and Laboratory teams, you will help build a world-class quality culture as Agratas scales its battery manufacturing operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, complaints and escalations.
- Manage customer issues from initial notification through to closure, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
- Lead structured problem-solving activities using methodologies such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis and 5 Why.
- Coordinate containment actions to protect customers and minimise risk.
- Drive root cause investigations using data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented, monitored and verified for effectiveness.
- Work closely with Failure Analysis and Laboratory teams to support technical investigations and determine root causes.
- Review investigation findings and ensure alignment between identified failure mechanisms and corrective actions.
- Coordinate activities across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Laboratory teams.
- Monitor customer quality KPIs including complaints, response times, PPM and customer scorecards.
- Prepare investigation reports, customer updates and quality performance summaries.
- Support customer visits, audits and quality reviews.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, IATF 16949 and internal quality management systems.
- Support updates to PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP and other quality documentation.
- Identify recurring issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and products.
- Communicate technical findings clearly and effectively to both customers and internal stakeholders.

What you'll bring…
Essential:
Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.
Experience in Quality Engineering, Customer Quality, or Manufacturing Quality.
Knowledge of problem-solving tools such as 8D, RCA, and 5 Why.
Understanding of quality tools including PFMEA, APQP, and PPAP.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working in cross-functional engineering or manufacturing teams.
Preferred:
Experience within battery, automotive, or manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology and failure analysis.
Familiarity with IATF 16949 and customer quality requirements.
Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement training.
Experience working in a fast-paced or scale-up environment.
