The role

Who we are…

Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We will design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries for the mobility and energy sectors. We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality and the backing of a well-established parent company. The UK business headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset.

What you’ll do…

Reporting to the Head of Facilities Management, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead and shape the transition from construction to full operations, ensuring critical systems—HVAC, fire protection, and vertical transport—are installed and maintained to world-class standards.
  • Own site performance: conduct inspections, drive maintenance programs, and manage vendor relationships to guarantee compliance and operational excellence.
  • Influence financial outcomes by managing budgets, forecasts, and capital projects that enhance infrastructure and future-proof the site.
  • Champion safety and sustainability, maintaining EHS compliance, auditing processes, and reporting environmental and energy performance to meet ambitious targets.
  • Collaborate and innovate with internal teams and global partners to optimize service delivery, shape vendor strategies, and gain exposure to international projects through occasional travel.

About you

Why this role matters:

You’ll play a pivotal role in building a high-performing, safe, and sustainable facility—while developing expertise in large-scale operations and global stakeholder management

What you’ll bring…

  • Strong understanding of facilities operations and their impact on productivity, with experience in budgeting, procurement, compliance, and team coordination to maintain a safe, efficient workplace.
  • Proven problem-solving ability, capable of identifying issues, analysing root causes, and implementing practical solutions while ensuring safety and continuity.
  • Expertise in managing infrastructure and workplace services to boost operational efficiency, control costs, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Working knowledge of building systems, health and safety regulations, and compliance standards, ideally gained through hands-on facilities experience.
  • Leadership and collaboration skills, with clear communication and a proactive approach to service delivery, vendor management, and continuous improvement
