We are seeking a Head of Construction – MEP to spearhead all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing delivery across a high‑profile, large‑scale industrial programme. This is a rare opportunity to influence the next generation of sustainable, high‑tech manufacturing infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead MEP strategy, planning, execution, and commissioning across the programme.
- Integrate MEP deliverables into design reviews, value engineering, scheduling, and risk planning.
- Oversee execution from pre‑construction through installation, testing, and handover.
- Manage contractors, technical reviews, compliance, safety, and commercial performance.
- Drive innovation through BIM/VDC, digital twins, modular construction, and prefabrication.
- Ensure all systems meet UK/EU codes, BS standards, NEC, SMACNA, HFPA, and project specifications.
- Manage budgets, procurement, long‑lead items, and project KPIs.
- Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing team of MEP engineers, PMs, and technical specialists.
- Represent the MEP function at senior leadership and technical steering groups.

What you'll bring...
We’re looking for a proven senior leader with:
- Extensive experience delivering MEP scopes on large‑scale industrial or manufacturing projects.
- Proven capability managing MEP packages of £100M+.
- Knowledge of Design‑Build, IPD, and CM delivery methods.
- Strong understanding of power systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, and compliance standards.
- Expertise with tools such as Revit, Navisworks, Procore, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to make fast, informed decisions in complex, high‑pressure environments.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Chartered Engineer status (highly desirable).
