What you’ll do…

You’ll lead health, safety and environmental performance across a major construction and infrastructure programme, ensuring people, contractors and the environment are protected at all times. You’ll drive a safe working culture and manage risk assessment activity, approve RAMS, oversee contractor safety, carry out site inspections and investigate incidents and near misses. You’ll ensure full compliance with COMAH, CDM and wider HSE and environmental regulations, while providing assurance against ISO standards and internal frameworks. As a visible leader on site, you’ll influence behaviours, promote a strong safety culture and report performance and insights to senior stakeholders.

The team you’ll join…

You’ll join a specialist Health, Safety and Environment team supporting a large‑scale, high‑profile construction programme. Reporting to the Head of HSE, you’ll work closely with fellow HSE managers and lead a team of Advisors, ensuring a consistent and pragmatic approach across site and supporting wider group locations when needed.

What you’ll bring…

You’ll bring strong HSE management experience within construction or other regulated environments, along with proven people leadership capability. You’ll have solid knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation, ideally including COMAH and CDM regulations. You’ll be a confident communicator, comfortable engaging contractors, senior leaders and regulators. A NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent), CSCS card and a hands‑on, visible leadership style are essential.
