What you'll do...
Agratas is building the UK's largest battery manufacturing facility, powering the transition to a more sustainable future. As we scale our world-class gigafactory operations, we are looking for an experienced Production Planning Manager to lead production planning and scheduling across our advanced cell manufacturing operation.
This is a high-impact leadership role at the heart of our manufacturing organisation, responsible for translating customer demand into executable production plans, optimising plant capacity, and ensuring seamless coordination across production, supply chain, logistics, quality, and maintenance functions.
If you thrive in complex, high-volume manufacturing environments and enjoy balancing operational excellence with strategic planning, we'd love to hear from you.
The team you'll join...
As Production Planning Manager, you will own the end-to-end production planning process across our battery manufacturing operations. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS), ensuring alignment between customer demand, inventory, production capacity, and operational performance.
Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you'll drive planning accuracy, optimise plant throughput, lead scenario planning activities, and provide the visibility needed to support critical business decisions. You'll also play a key role in developing digital planning capabilities through MES, ERP, and Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Owning and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS) across Electrode, Assembly and Backend production areas.
- Translating S&OP outputs into achievable daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
- Managing capacity planning and modelling to identify constraints and maximise throughput.
- Leading planning for production ramp-ups, equipment downtime, product changes and operational disruptions.
- Driving On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance and schedule adherence.
- Leading a team of planners and schedulers, providing coaching, development and performance management.
- Delivering data-driven insights through planning KPIs, dashboards and operational reporting.
- Championing the use of integrated planning systems including MES, ERP and APS platforms.
- Collaborating with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality and Maintenance teams to ensure operational readiness.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning accuracy, responsiveness and efficiency.
What you'll bring...
We're looking for a collaborative and analytical manufacturing professional with significant experience in production planning within complex, automated manufacturing environments.
You'll bring:
- A degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in production planning, scheduling or manufacturing control within high-volume industries such as automotive, battery manufacturing, electronics, semiconductor or advanced manufacturing.
- Previous leadership experience managing planning and scheduling teams.
- Strong knowledge of Master Production Scheduling (MPS), capacity planning and production control methodologies.
- Experience using ERP, MES and Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) systems, ideally SAP and/or Dassault platforms.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, including advanced Excel capabilities.
- A proven ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to rapidly changing operational requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing operations or facility ramp-up activities would be advantageous.
