What you'll do...
This role sits within the Capital Projects team and plays a critical part in delivering the buildings and infrastructure that will enable the Agratas Gigafactory. Working in a complex, fast-paced environment, you will lead the development, design and delivery of major utilities and infrastructure projects, including third-party works, construction logistics and the delivery of a new ring road. This is a high-profile opportunity to shape large-scale infrastructure on a nationally significant programme.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards
- Managing financial aspects including contracts, change orders, and dispute resolution
- Identifying and mitigating risks proactively
- Overseeing stakeholder engagement and utilities package deliverables
- Challenging technical assumptions to achieve optimal solutions
- Monitoring project performance and providing accurate reporting
- Driving continuous improvement through lessons learned

Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We will design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries for the mobility and energy sectors. We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality and the backing of a well-established parent company. The UK business headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset.

You’ll report to the Head of Construction and work closely with a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering critical infrastructure for the Agratas Gigafactory.
What you'll bring...
Essential:
- Proven experience in managing large utilities capital projects/programmes
- Strong knowledge of utility industry regulations and standards
- Expertise in multi-utility project management
- Contractor Health & Safety management skills
- Mechanical or Electrical background highly desirable
- Commercial awareness and experience with UK Engineering Contracts (JCT and/or NEC)
Desired:
- Experience with sustainability and environmental impact assessments
- Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera)
- Knowledge of renewable energy systems integration
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (desirable)
- Professional project/programme management qualification (e.g., APMP, MSP) or related discipline (e.g., RICS)
- Chartered Engineer status in Civil, Structural, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering (ideal but not essential)
