What you’ll do…

As a Quality Engineer – Electrode, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that materials—covering slurry mixing, coating, calendaring, and slitting—consistently meet product specifications throughout the manufacturing process. You’ll work closely with the In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) labs and shop floor teams to monitor quality, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement.

This role involves hands-on testing, data analysis, and collaboration across departments to enhance product quality and process efficiency. You’ll also engage with Agratas sites globally, contributing to knowledge sharing and alignment of best practices.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality control activities across Zone E processes including slurry mixing, coating, calendaring, and slitting.
  • Monitor product quality using in-line instrumentation such as beta ray gauges, confocal sensors, and CCD systems.
  • Investigate non-conformities and support CAPA processes for in-process deviations.
  • Conduct MSA studies for both in-line and off-line instruments.
  • Contribute to key initiatives aligned with functional OKRs and quality KPIs.
  • Recommend and support implementation of advanced testing equipment and lab improvements.
  • Develop and maintain control plans, SOPs, and testing procedures.
  • Participate in Process FMEA activities and implement effective detection and prevention controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inspection processes and product quality.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts across the product lifecycle.

The team you’ll join…

The Quality team is a dynamic group working across three areas - company quality, product quality and plant quality. Being a relatively new team, you’ll play a critical part in creating and implementing new processes and help building large scale manufacturing lines from the ground up.

What you’ll bring…

  • Hands-on experience working in both manufacturing shop floor and laboratory environments.
  • Familiarity with cell electrode manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
  • Educational background in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in shift-based operations is preferred.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting analytical instruments and equipment.
  • Solid understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949.
