Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries for the mobility and energy sectors.
We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality and the backing of a well-established parent company. The UK business headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Somerset and looking to compliment, scale and grow our R&D facilities in Abingdon and Coventry with the brightest minds from within the battery and EV sector.

Purpose of the Role
At Agratas, our Corporate Communications team is responsible for promoting and protecting our brand and reputation, both inside and outside the business. We share our success stories, support internal engagement, manage external visibility and help handle issues that could impact our image.
We are seeking a motivated and creative Corporate Communications Specialist to join our dynamic team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in communications, with lots of support and variety in a fast-paced, collaborative team.
This is a hybrid role based at our Coventry office on the University of Warwick campus, with regular travel to our other UK locations in Oxford and Somerset.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Assist in creating and implementing communication plans aligned with our company objectives and values.
- Draft and edit various communication materials, including press releases, corporate announcements, newsletters, internal emails and posting Intranet updates.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop visually appealing communication materials, including infographics, presentations, and digital assets.
- Support the production of video content, including scripting, filming, and editing, to effectively convey key messages and enhance audience engagement.
- Support the management of social media channels, including content creation, scheduling, and monitoring engagement.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
- Assist in organising and coordinating corporate events, including community events, townhalls, and other internal events.
- Collaborate with senior team members to develop crisis communication plans and respond to media inquiries as needed.
- Manage our internal and external mailboxes, responding to incoming messages in our mailboxes and logging key enquiries.
- Provide administrative support, such as maintaining media contact lists, tracking communication metrics, and managing communication assets.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- A collaborative, can-do attitude, and a willingness to learn.
- Good organisation skills – able to juggle different tasks and deadlines.
- An interest in communications, media, or branding.
- Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and social media platforms (SharePoint Intranet too – but not essential).
