The UK business headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Somerset and looking to compliment, scale and grow our R&D facilities in Abingdon and Coventry with the brightest minds from within the battery and EV sector.

Purpose of the Role
The Pack Team Compliance Manager is a crucial role in Agratas Pack Team. This role requires a high level of analytical and critical thinking.
This role is required to lead engineering activities within the scope of a defined project, including coordination of resources, planning of timelines, and delivery of engineering milestones and support team and company initiatives with a similar approach. The Compliance Manager will have a direct impact on the company’s ability to design, develop, and deliver safe, reliable, and high-performance battery systems to customers.
This role may require a small team to scale with business needs and support concurrent projects.
This is a hybrid working role that will be based in our Coventry office. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of sustainable energy solutions in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Your responsibilities include:
- Lead strategy to develop and implement AGRATAS battery pack compliance frameworks, policies, procedures, tools and methodologies.
- Act as primary compliance authority for certification processes and maintain readiness for audits, inspections and regulatory submissions.
- Support the successful delivery of our engineering projects to ensure achievement of core company objectives.
- Work with our customer homologation teams to define and execute strategies for obtaining and maintaining integrated AGRATAS product certification approvals.
- Ensure and drive continuous improvement throughout all compliance aspects of projects.
- Lead efforts to identify and define applicable regulations and standards for current and new product markets.
- Monitor and interpret changes in the regulatory standards environment and ensure timely implementation (e.g. through an impact analysis on product and business strategy).
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, certification bodies and test labs to ensure timely products approvals and renewals.
- Promote a compliance first culture within AGRATAS through training and guidance for the Pack engineering team.
- Support sustainability initiatives by ensuring compliance with recycling, carbon footprint and end of product life obligations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Extensive knowledge in regulatory compliance, product certification and quality assurance.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience of working in regulatory senior compliance roles, particularly in automotive, EV battery systems, or powertrain domains.
- Proven experience in compliance and taking an automotive product to market.
- Proven knowledge of global regulations and standards such as Regulation(EU) 2023/1542(Battery Regulation for safety, sustainability, Battery Passport, CE marking),R100, UN38.3, AIS038,AIS 174,RoHS 3 Directive, CEA regulations etc.
- Hands on experience to prepare, maintain and review compliance documentation for audits, certification and regulatory approvals.
- Experience of automotive product development to meet ISO 26262, ASPICE, APQP frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams to ensure integrated compliance of Agratas products is achieved.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a environment where creativity and bringing new ways of working is welcomed.
- Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g. Polarion or similar).
