At our state-of-the-art Cell R&D Facility in Oxfordshire, we’re building something special. Now, we’re looking to expand our talented Cell R&D Function with a passionate Finance Business Partner ready to partner our experts the forefront of battery technology.

We’re seeking a Technology Finance Business Partner to support our journey from initial research concept in our global R&D labs, through to Battery Pack programmes. You’ll be the trusted business partner to our Technology Leadership team, playing a crucial role in a fast-growing team as we lead innovation at the forefront of battery technology and pack engineering.

This role isn’t about sitting behind spreadsheets. It’s about getting close to our teams, building relationships, and delivering strategic insights that drive real decisions.

 

Key Responsibility Areas

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Serve as a financial adviser to the Technology leadership - forecasting costs, controlling spend, and guiding financial decision-making
  • Drive budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and long-term financial planning aligned to strategic goals
  • Act a key finance lead in driving excellence & best practice as we bring commission and scale our global technology facilities, working with local leadership teams and key supporting functions (e.g. Programme Management, HR, IT and Procurement)
  • Support business case development and monitoring of existing and future research, product development and engineering portfolio projects
  • Forecast headcount in partnership with HR and support workforce ramp-up planning
  • Champion continuous improvement, enhancing reporting and operational efficiency
  • Line management of existing finance analyst within the team
  • Lead financial workstreams for SAP S/4HANA implementation
  • Responsibilities will evolve and change to support a fast-growing and evolving business

 

 

Job Context

What You’ll bring

  • Qualified Finance Professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience of finance business partnering senior leadership teams, including C-Suite
  • A proven track record as a Finance Business Partner in complex, engineering, tech or R&D-driven environments
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
  • An individual with a clear passion for numbers, technology and someone who is keen to grow in a fast-growing company
