Purpose of the Role
As part of the Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence (CoE), the Senior Manager – Talent Acquisition (UK) will lead all recruitment efforts for our UK operations. This includes strategic planning, delivery of hiring activity, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring an inclusive, efficient, and legally compliant hiring process.
This position plays a key role in supporting Agratas’ UK growth strategy—including high-volume recruitment for our upcoming gigafactory and building out core business functions.
Key Responsibility Areas
Talent Acquisition Strategy & Delivery
- Develop and implement the UK talent acquisition strategy in line with global TA priorities and business growth plans.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for technical, manufacturing, operational, and corporate roles.
- Collaborate with business leaders, HRBP’s, and global TA colleagues to forecast workforce needs and design effective hiring solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the senior point of contact for all UK talent acquisition activity.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior business leaders, HR Business Partners, and external recruitment partners.
- Provide regular hiring updates, insights, and reporting to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure recruitment activities are delivered in a timely, consistent, and high-quality manner.
- Promote fair and objective selection practices aligned with UK employment law and company policies.
- Use data and analytics to monitor hiring performance, identify improvements, and drive continuous enhancement of TA processes.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
- Ensure inclusive recruitment practices are embedded throughout the hiring process.
- Work with internal and external partners to attract a diverse range of candidates.
Systems & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and ensure GDPR-compliant data management.
- Ensure recruitment practices are aligned with UK employment legislation and internal governance policies.
- Support audit and reporting requirements as needed.
Employer Branding
- Collaborate with the Employer Branding team to promote Agratas as an employer of choice in the UK.
- Represent the company at relevant external events and support targeted outreach initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in leading talent acquisition function, with recent experience in a UK-based leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing high-volume and specialised recruitment across engineering, manufacturing, or technology sectors.
- Familiarity with UK employment law as it applies to recruitment and selection.
- Experience working within a global or matrixed organisation.
- Proficient in using ATS and recruitment tools; comfortable with data and performance metrics.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Experience in large-scale recruitment for industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Previous work within a Centre of Excellence or shared services TA model.
- Knowledge of workforce planning, recruitment marketing, or talent intelligence.
Role Specific Qualifications/Certifications
- Bachelors / Masters in Human Resource or equivalent from a reputed University
- CIPD Level 5 certification is desirable
