To help us achieve this ambition, we are seeking an exceptional Business Manager, CTO Office to join our Technology Organisation in Oxford. This is a rare opportunity to work at the heart of a growing global business, partnering directly with the Chief Technology Officer and Chief of Staff to drive efficiency, governance, and operational excellence across a fast-paced technology function.

 

About the Role

 

The CTO Office is a small, high-impact team responsible for enabling the successful execution of Agratas' technology strategy. Supporting senior technology leaders operating across multiple countries and time zones, the team plays a critical role in coordinating priorities, driving governance, and ensuring smooth organisational operations.

As Business Manager, you will act as a trusted partner to the CTO and Chief of Staff, providing executive-level support while helping to coordinate strategic initiatives across the wider technology organisation. This highly visible role requires exceptional organisational capability, commercial awareness, sound judgement, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment.

You will be a natural relationship builder, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, board representatives, and international visitors.

Key Responsibility Areas

Executive and Leadership Support

 

  • Manage the CTO's complex calendar, ensuring priorities are aligned and schedules are optimised.
  • Coordinate executive meetings, board engagements, strategic reviews, and leadership events.
  • Prepare high-quality briefing packs, presentations, agendas, reports, and meeting materials.
  • Track actions, commitments, key decisions, and follow-up activities arising from leadership meetings.

 

Governance and Operational Excellence

 

  • Maintain governance processes, reporting frameworks, action trackers, and communication channels.
  • Support the effective flow of information across the technology organisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, consistency, and decision-making.
  • Ensure governance activities are delivered to a high standard and within agreed timelines.

 

Travel and International Coordination

 

  • Manage complex domestic and international travel arrangements for senior leaders.
  • Create detailed itineraries and oversee all travel logistics.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for overseas visitors, including C-suite stakeholders.
  • Coordinate travel, accommodation, site access, transportation, hospitality, catering, and visitor experience activities.

 

Financial and Procurement Support

 

  • Manage executive expense processes and collaborate with Finance on reporting and approvals.
  • Act as a SAP Ariba champion, supporting employees with procurement and ordering processes.
  • Coordinate with procurement and finance teams to resolve non-standard purchasing and operational challenges.

 

Project and Event Management

 

  • Support strategic projects, leadership initiatives, and team events.
  • Independently coordinate workshops, offsites, leadership meetings, and special projects.
  • Provide operational oversight to ensure successful delivery of key organisational priorities.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience supporting C-suite executives, senior technology leaders, or executive leadership teams within a complex organisation.
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments where priorities shift frequently.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience working across global organisations, cultures, and multiple time zones.

 

Skills and Capabilities

  • Outstanding organisational and planning skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce executive-level presentations, reports, and briefings.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage effectively at all levels.
  • High levels of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgement when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and related collaboration tools.
  • Experience using travel management, visitor management, procurement, and expense systems.
