Purpose of the Role
The role of Agratas' Corporate Communications team is to connect, inform and engage our people through clear, consistent and impactful communications. We help bring the Agratas strategy, culture, achievements and ambitions to life for employees across the business, ensuring colleagues understand where we are heading, how they contribute, and the role they play in our success. Alongside this, we support the promotion and protection of the Agratas brand through effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Corporate Communications Specialist with a strong internal communications focus to partner with teams across the business to deliver engaging content, campaigns and employee experiences. This role will play a key part in strengthening culture, employee engagement and organisational alignment through compelling storytelling, impactful communications and innovative content delivered across a range of channels.
Sitting within the Corporate Communications function and based out of our Oxford (Milton Park) facility the role will involve identifying, planning and delivering communication projects and initiatives that support business priorities and employee engagement. Working with cross-functional teams across multiple locations, you will be responsible for creating and executing communication plans, uncovering and sharing stories from across the organisation, and ensuring employees remain connected to the company's strategy, growth and achievements. You will be a proactive self-starter who takes ownership, builds strong relationships and continually looks for new ways to improve the quality and impact of internal communications.
Key Responsibility Areas
Internal Communications and Content
- Support the development and delivery of the internal communications strategy, aligned to our company values
- Manage, maintain and continuously improve the intranet, ensuring content and functionality remains current and engaging.
- Create and curate content for internal and external channels, including stories, blogs, podcasts, videos, infographics and social media.
- Build strong relationships across the business to identify and share compelling stories that connect employees globally.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice and organisational objectives.
Employee Engagement, Change and Culture
- Support engagement, culture and change initiatives across the business.
- Gather employee feedback and work collaboratively with stakeholders to help shape the employee experience.
- Bring the Agratas culture and values to life through effective communication campaigns and storytelling.
Internal Events and Employee Engagement
- Develop communications and content to support internal events, including town halls, all-hands meetings, cultural celebrations and family events.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of events within agreed budgets.
- Coordinate the ordering, distribution and promotion of Agratas branded merchandise, including clothing, gifts and campaign items.
- Analyse event feedback and recommend improvements to enhance employee experience.
Company Magazine
- Lead the editorial planning and production of the biannual company magazine.
- Establish and manage an editorial board representing the wider business.
- Gather, edit and coordinate content production with design teams.
- Manage governance processes, including approvals, photography guidelines, deadlines and publication schedules.
Content Performance and Insight
- Monitor communication performance using analytics and employee feedback.
- Use insights and data to continually improve content effectiveness, reach and engagement.
Business Storytelling and Messaging
- Translate complex information into clear, engaging and accessible communications.
- Develop compelling narratives that help employees understand business priorities and progress.
- Create consistent messaging across multiple channels, including email, intranet, digital signage, video and print.
Visual Communication
- Work closely with design teams to ensure communications are visually engaging and on-brand.
- Develop storyboards, concepts and presentation materials that enhance understanding and engagement.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Excellent communication, writing, and editorial skills
- Proven experience in a communications function
- Experience in creating engaging content for internal channels
- Ability to travel across the country (between the Oxford and Somerset sites particularly)
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across multiple business functions
- Ability to analyse content performance and use data for decisions
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Poppulo or similar employee communications platforms
- Understanding of communications and internal events in a fast-paced, growing or global organisation
- SharePoint Online and modern intranet management skills
- Editorial planning and publication skills, including magazines, newsletters and other employee communications
- Basic graphic design capability and proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools
