Purpose of the Role
Electrode Design Engineer – Cell Design
Location: Oxford, UK
Function: Cell Technology / Cell Design
Reports to: Cell Design Manager – Cell Technology / Cell Development
Join Us at Agratas
Agratas is building the next generation of battery technology, and we’re looking for a Senior Electrode Design Engineer who’s ready to shape the future of energy storage. This is a unique opportunity to take a leading role in designing and optimising advanced Li-ion battery electrodes—driving innovation from concept through to scalable manufacturing.
If you’re passionate about pushing the boundaries of cell performance, collaborating with world‑class experts, and turning cutting‑edge science into real‑world impact, we’d love to hear from you.
The Opportunity
In this role, you’ll lead the design and development of battery electrodes, finalising compositions and design concepts that balance performance, manufacturability, and productivity. You’ll create and execute development plans, run DOEs, validate electrode designs, and work closely with R&D and process engineering teams in a fast‑paced prototype environment.
This is a hands‑on, high‑impact position where your expertise will directly influence the performance, safety, and scalability of Agratas’ next‑generation cells.
